The Neskowin Citizen Advisory Committee hopes you will find this information useful in forming your input to our next Neskowin Community Plan.

This Town Hall will cover State Planning Goals 8 and 9, Recreational Needs and Economic Development and features the speakers:

This Town Hall covers State Planning Goal 10:

Housing - “To provide for the housing needs of citizens of the state.”

The town hall will feature the following speakers and panelists:

  • Brenda Freshman with a Welcome Message from the NCAC

  • Sarah Absher, Director of Tillamook Community Development

  • Melissa Carlson-Swanson, Director of Tillamook Food Bank

  • Erin Skaar, Tillamook County Commissioner

  • Susan Amort, Local Realtor

 
 

This Town Hall will cover two State Planning Goals:

 Goal 11 - Public Facilities and Services: “To plan and develop a timely, orderly and efficient arrangement of public facilities and services to serve as a framework for urban and rural development.”

Goal 14 - Urbanization: “To provide for an orderly and efficient transition from rural to urban land use, to accommodate urban population and urban employment inside urban growth boundaries, to ensure efficient use of land, and to provide for livable communities.”

 
 

This Town Hall will cover two State Planning Goals:

Goal 16 - Estuarine Resources:

“To recognize and protect the unique environmental, economic and social values of each estuary and associated wetlands; and to protect, maintain, and where appropriate develop and restore, the long term environmental, economic and social values, diversity and benefits of Oregon’s estuaries.”

Goal 17 - Coastal Shorelands:

“To conserve, protect, and where appropriate, develop and restore the resources and benefits of all coastal shorelands, recognizing their value for protection and maintenance of water quality, fish and wildlife habitat, water-dependent uses, economic resources and recreation and aesthetics. The management of these shoreland areas shall be compatible with the characteristics of the adjacent coastal waters; and to reduce the hazard to human life and property, and the adverse effects upon water quality and fish and wildlife habitat, resulting from the use and enjoyment of Oregon’s coastal shorelands.”

This town hall will present information and expert knowledge on State Land Use Planning Goals 3 & 4: Agricultural and Forest Lands
