Agenda Highlights:

  • Meeting Minutes from December 9th will be finalized at this meeting.

  • There is a new vacancy on the Community Plan Steering Committee, and the NCAC Chair has nominated Tom Siep as the new fifth member of the committee. The membership will vote on his approval. Many NCAC members will be familiar with Tom from his work on the Bylaws Committee. See below for Tom’s statement. The Community Plan Steering Committee does not have a fixed number of seats, and NCAC members interested in joining the committee are welcome to inquire during the Committee’s public meetings, or send an email to info@neskowincac.org.

  • Nominations Committee: The Chair is seeking volunteers to serve on the 2024 Nomination Committee. At the discretion of the Chair, if a suitable committee has been assembled by the time of the meeting, the Chair will submit the proposed members of the Nominations Committee for approval by a vote of the membership. If you are interested in serving on the Nominations Committee, send an email to info@neskowincac.org. More info to come.

  • STR Cap Discussion w/ Sarah Absher: This agenda item serves as the rescheduled STR Cap meeting previously scheduled for January 16th. This will be the first step in Ms. Absher’s engagement with the Neskowin Community about setting long term Short Term Rental License caps in the Neskowin Area.

Statement from Tom Siep:

My wife, Anne, and I have lived full time on South Beach Road for the past three years. We bought our property five years ago and had our home built.

I am a technical author and editor. I have over 30 years in the development of written information, which includes large technical specifications, user manuals, and international communications standards. I have also headed two mid-sized international not-for-profit corporations.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Management and a Master’s degree in Information Science.

I believe I can help make the community plan for the Neskowin committee easier to understand, forward-thinking, and actionable.
